Hello fellow BMW-MOAL witnesses! -- I’m pleased to report that we had many “vintage" BMW bikers and a few noobies appear at the Old Cookstove in Danville for lunch on Sept 13th for a well-attended Ride-2-Eat on a warm September’s day in Alabama. By my calculations we had 22 actual attendees for a fine Amish buffet luncheon; we also lost two riders along the way for undetermined personal preferences but we also gained one GTL rider meeting us near the restaurant! The folks I was seated beside were definitely enthused with the buffet selections and the big variety of proteins and carbs (including fresh, home-churned vanilla ice-cream w/toppings). We also had a couple of our alumni attend in their 4-wheelers. Phil Warren generously gifted me his personal Twin-Max tools assortment for future Boxer Tech-Days in HSV. T’was very appropriate then that I led the dozen HSV-riders on my ’75 R90S. We’re gonna rendezvous with the BMW M/C Owners of Georgia on the 11th at Blossom Hill BBQ & Burgers in Rome on Oct-11 @1200L should you be inclined to join the group {they’re in the Eastern time zone}… I/we were blessed with warm and dry weather for a safe & successful September’s Second Saturday Ride-2-Eat.
