We just completed the first of many to come Air Head Rides. Effectioning referred to as "The Great Sepulga Bridge Hunt". The Sepulga Bridge is located in Conecuh County and is one of the very few bidges listed in the Historic Bridges of the U.S Registry.
We decided to try and find it as a goal for our first Air Head Ride in 2008. About 10 bikes left the Oasis Truck Stop in Robertsdale around 9 am 01/12/2008. About 7 of the bikes were Air Heads, and 3 curious folks just tagging along. As I suspected the GPS coordinates got us in the vincinity but did not put us at the bridge. Some riding around on dirt roads and some help from a local helped us find the bridge.
Information has been forwarded to Bob Steber for the ABEES book. We found it on Bull Slough Rd. about half way between CR 43 and CR 21. GPS coordinates are N31 18.091 W86 43.036. It is in the country and we probably road 5 miles on "dirt" roads to find it. Haven't been able to figure out Pisca yet but have a couple of photos that I may forward later after I figure it out.
