Ok, experts chime in. I have a choice to make here and need your opinions.

05 R1200RT (a trade-in at dealer): HEATED SEAT, GRIPS, CRUISE, ABS, EAS, 2 BAGS & TRUNK, POWERED WINDSCREEN, BRAND NEW TIRES, 60K SERVICE, COSMETICALLY VERY GOOD, 55.5K MILES........$ABOUT 9G

03 R1150RT (private as advertised): HEATED GRIPS, CRUISE-?, ABS-?, EAS-?, 2 BAGS NO TRUNK, POWERED WINDSCREEN looks like it photos, BOTH TIRES UNDER 1Kmi, 18K OIL CHANGE, COSMETICALLY-good?-photos only, 19Kmiles, garaged.......ABOUT $5-5.5G MAX.

Primarily interested in the Major Differences between 03 & 05. features/std options, such as fuel system, hp, trans, final drive, brake sys, etc.

This is a long term daily rider.

I recently traded my K1200LT for a R1200RT. I had looked at R1150RTs in the past but they are too cramped for me. I am 6'2" and the R1200RT fits me just fine with the seat in the high position. Cruise control is a must, ESA is a real plus unless you buy some ohlin shocks for the 1150RT. The 1200RT is in my opinion the best choice by far and probably the most popular BMW touring bike.

thanks, and after reading the 05RT review LINK above, it looks like BMW made some significant upgrades from 02&03 such as the rear swingarm config, windscreen, engine & extras.
i hope its still there (dealer) at the end of this month.
