Oilhead fuel pump?

It is time to replace the fuel pump on my 1995 R1100GS. Can anyone recommend a non-BMW pump that is locally avail? Maybe some online instructions related to mounting etc. If so, does the pump have an fine screen on the fuel input like the BMW pump, or do you need to buy this part as well?

Does anyone have a black R1100GS metal tank laying around? In the process of troubleshooting the fuel pump problem, a couple of the studs that hold the pump assembly on the tank got twisted off. I am checking into getting it repaired, but want a backup plan in place.

Call Tommy Arnold on the fuel pump issue. I recall that he replaced a 1100RT fuel pump with a certain model Ford Mustang fuel pump. I don't remember the year. He will know all the details.
