    I always wanted to "Winter in Texas"

    Four friends and myself where headed to Big Bend . We did get delayed two days from the start due to uncontrollable event at home....so we started out Monday morning....this morning we are in Palestine TX, with sleet and expected four inches of Snow today....

    While the forecast called for the snow band to be further north...needless to say it moved South and we find ourselves in the middle of the heaviest band of snow....

    One forecast called for Big Bend to get some as well...

    Bright sides
    ....temps could reach 50 again in a couple days..
    Good Motel with Restaurant next door.
    Free Internet ...got my laptop
    With friends (now) tomorrow may be different
    Great hot breakfast with motel

    This global warming thing is just awful....

    Lookout Alabama.....it could be headed your way..

    Glad to hear from you...sorry you are having weather issues. Seems this winter has been EXTREMELY long this year!

    Some folks say that white stuff is purty....for my part...I don't need to see it again!

    Kind of overcast and yucky here today too....but alas, bettertimes are comin'. This time next week we will be cruisin'!!!

    You guys have fun....deal the cards and be safe!

        Lunchtime Update.....Weatherman says most likely rain for us in Central AL. Let's hope for once he is correct!

          Don't believe a word of it..... they said the snow would mainly stay north of I-20 ....most of the snow is south of I-20 .... ten day forecast was in 60's no chance of rain....

          Ya'll have fun on the cruise... I see you at Nauvoo if not before..

              I am feeling pretty good about no snow in Cozumel..right now 72 degrees!

                The Accuweather forcast for Cozumel shows sunny with a high of 80 degrees for Thursday. We be crusin'!

                      Well, folks I think ya'll are feeling the warmth in Alabama about now...but after two nights and 5 inches of snow in Palestine, I was able to move out at 33 degrees to warmer area of Texas....today in Hill Country...68 degrees..

                      The snow was the best kind....it came and melted in 24 hours...

                      I wish nothing but the very best for your trip to Cozumel...but after this winter..anything can happen...
