Bob, the Turps got 1st place in longest distance two-up(2470 miles) and Don palced second in the North American Tour award with 12,183 miles ( 102 miles les than 1st place. Great going. Rally attendance was down with a total of 6109 rally attendees. I got this from a thread on the Rally Forum on the MOA web site. Gator
Also Don Little won a door prize drawing at the closing ceremony for a $1500.00 spending spree for camping gear. Couldn't happen to anyone more deserving. He sure was excited.
Suz and I are back on the Oregon coast and will be on the bike touring the Redwood forest tomorrow.
Vance was the moderator at the closing ceremony and did a superb job.
We will post a gazillion pictures when we get home on the weekend.
Wow, Don won one of the Grand Prizes. I couldn't be happier for him. That's a great prize. Looks like the club did well in Redmond. Have fun and ride safe on the way home. Gator
Congratulations to Greg & Melani and Don Norwood for rider awards they received at the MOA Rally in Redmond. Gator
Thanks Bob and all..... was a great rally, helmets off to the rally chairs and volunteers.... Yes Alabama was mentioned several times and we had Alabama folks as vendors as well....about four or five Alabama vendors...Two of the groups that entertained had Alabama connections also...Thanks Lee for a super lineup of entertainment.
Vance did a great job as MC of the closing ceremony...you could hear him and understand every word spoken....some of the others I couldn't understand. He was also introduced officially as one of two new Directors of MOA...
I may have came up 102 miles short on the North American Tour but I bet I had more fun!!!!! and it was a win win for the kids at Eldridge Children home as well....
