  • Wanda's last day at work

Today was Wanda's last day of work. She is officially retired. She only had to work half a day. She was emotional about leaving so I brought her riding gear to her office and picked her up on the GS. After saying her good-byes we left on the bike and went to Hebert's. I figured the bike ride would cheer her up. We got to Hebert's and would you believe it, A travelling Mexican restaurant was parked in the parking lot. Wow, my favorite. I was hungry so I ate a taco. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and talking with Lisa and the gang. We took the long way back on the way home and had a nice ride. Now we're ready to do some travelling. Here's a few pics of her retirement day.

Congratulations to Wanda! In #3 it looked like they were all crying. Tell her it may be a little tough at first leaving her friends but I am confident the Gator can "teach" her just how to be retired

BTW ya'll look snazzy sho nuff on that new bike!

Congrats Wanda!!! I'll bet that if you relax a bit and take some time you'll figure that retirement thing out.

It is wonderful to see that someone loves their job enough to be sad when it's time to hang it up. Congratulations are truly in order!!!

              Congratulations Wanda!

A few weeks after I retired twelve years ago, I added "btr" to my email address. "BTR" means born to retire . That still applies and I predict you will enjoy your well deserved retirement as well.

                Retirement

AWWW, congratulations, Wanda, you have such a sweet hubby to do that. I felt the same way after retirement, but got over it soon when I knew I could sleep in and had no boss telling me what to do everyday. Enjoy the ride!!

Hardest part for me, when I retired from Southern Company, was realizing I could go to Wal-Mart @ 10 in the a.m., and I wasn't skipping out from work to do it! Second hardest part was figuring out how I had time to go to a 40-hour job at all!

You'll enjoy the leisure time, I'm sure!

Good for you, Wanda! I hope you enjoy being retired as much as I have. I have never had one minute of regret. Now, I do what I want, when I want to , which usually means fishing most every day . There are not enough hours in a day for me. Hope you have a blast! Gail
