  • Don't Break Your Foot!

Many of you know that three weeks ago, I broke my right foot. No nothing to do with a motorcycle, but everythingto do with stupidity! In the process of unloading trash off my truck I jumped to the ground from the tailgate and turned my right foot completely sideways and pounded it into the ground with everyone of my 225 pounds...ouch!

Well, I visited the orthopedic dr today for check up and things are not healing well (just as the pain indicated to me). So I am now in a boot for three weeks and possibly facing minor surgery to install a screw that will help it heal.

Really got me down...especially because of how I did it...don't even have a good story to tell!

So I guess I am a no go for Saturday's ride unless I just go crazy to get out by that time!

Only time will tell but take my advice...and don't break your foot!

Sorry to hear this Vance, you know a break may heal better and quicker than a sprang....no doctor, but did stay at Holiday Inn Express last night.

At any rate, just take care of it.....be ready to ride by Spring.

      Vance.

Sorry to hear you broke your foot. But I am proud of you for thinking you 17 again and could jump off the tail gate of a pickup truck unscathed .

Hope you get through this without much pain!

Hope the foot heals O.K. and you can be back riding again real soon. In the mean time I'm sure that a few of our Alabeemers will be glad to help exercise your GS for you so it doesn't get stoved up waiting for the foot to heal. What a great group of friends who are willing to do such a thing for you, but that's the kind of people they are. Heal fast bro.
