Man, you are not going to believe who just purchased a GPS for their motorcycle! I won't reveal it here, although I am sure the member will very soon post. I am having a great time with this!

I can't wait to find out either. I'll bet it's some wise#%$ who was always making fun of other people who use them. I hope he gets what's coming to him --that rascal

I'd be willing to bet that the scoundrel probably bought a brand new BMW Navigator IV to go with a new GS that he bought that may or may not have come with the Navigator IV cradle already mounted on the bike. The nerve of that bozo. There's just no tellin' what some people are capable of Well at least he'll probably have fits trying to learn how to use it. Serves him right Sure wish I knew who it is.

I promise you, if I can do it, anyone can!. If you look under technically challenged, you'll see my pic. When I first got mine, I created a custom route to my destination and when I started on my trip, realized I had 500 plus miles of crap . Doing a little better now, and I really like the thing. I hope you enjoy yours too . Gail

I think I'll eventually get the hang of this darn GPS thingie. Wanda and I went on a little ride today to try it out. At first I couldn't get it to do anything then I realized that I had to change the language over to CAJUN in the settings menu, it worked fine after that Actually the NavIV ispretty easy to use, it just has so many features that it's not easy to remember all of them and how to access them all. I'm liking it so far except that after we ate lunch today in Springfield I pushed Go Home and it left without us

it likes u-turns, dead end roads, gravel roads....turn on the Austrialian girl, she is more pleasant than b....Betty.

Always good to have paper map as the big reference.

but you are going to love it....

Let me tell you about dead ends. Terry Ware, Ron Riggins and I found ourselves on what we thought was County Road 8 in southern IL a couple years ago during harvest time. What we found out was it was really County Road "Ain't!" ....left us dead into a creek in the middle of a corn field during harvest time! Gotta love 'em though!!! GPS...good / paper map as back-up...PRICELESS!!!

But Bob, a map ain't no good if you don't know where you are on it! However, the GPS (and probably the Government) always knows where you are.

Personally, I like the male voice since I am used to Paul giving me instructions . He still doesn't trust it, and we have come close to filing for divorce several times because of it.......so beware, there are side effects . Fortunately, there is a Mute button that I use for the GPS & him! Gail

Hey Gail, I thought I had the same GPS that you got. Where is the Mute button for Paul? Think it would work on mine?
