Just wanted to let everyone know my son Cody had a motorcycle accident on Thursday, the 20th. He was coming home from school and a car stopped right in front of him. "No blinker and No gradual slowdown, just stopped". They were doing 45mph and he reacted with too much brake. The back end started to sway and he layed it on its side rather than running into her. When he got it on the side, his shoe caught the road and pulled his foot back. The right saddlebag caught him right about shin high and snapped both bones. Today his his 16th birthday so gets to celebrate on crutches and a cast from his toes to his hip.

I believe the driver of the car needs to make the MAC meeting in Birmingham next week. If they would have stuck around, I would offer them a ride.

Be safe and watch out, cuz they are not watching for you!

Thanks for the well wishes. He is doing fine. He went to school today. Took yesterday off re-cooped a little more and we went and got his drivers license. The officer giving exams said "he can't take the driving test with a cast on his leg" I then showed her the completion certificate from school. The kids call them "the Golden Ticket". He had completed drivers Ed in school so did not need to take the final test. He now has his drivers, motorcycle and vessel license with no restrictions. I said besides my test is harder than yours, They gave me "that" look and I said, you wouldn't stop him on a hill with a clutch or make him back up a trailer. They just looked at me and smiled.
