  • Garmin Map Source ?

If anyone has Garmin Map Source, could you tell me how to get it to add the mileage up as you create a "custom route"? After I create my route and transfer it to my GPS, the GPS will tell me the total miles of my route, so I know IT IS calculating it. However, I want to see it adding the mileage as I create the route. Is this doable? Thanks.... Gail

    Gail.

While on the MapSourse map, drag the left window to the right until is shows your mileage. As you progress with your route, the number will change.

I'll try to remember to bring my computer to the meeting and show you how it is done.

Bob, I guess you'll have to show me . I saw that feature but I thought it was giving me the mileage in a straight line between two points (as the crow flies). This thing makes me feel sooooooo dumb , so nothing is new. Gail

You're doing good Gail and I'm proud of you especially with all of the good help the you get from Paul .

If your route line on the map follows the roads, then the mileage shown in the left window is accurate.

I'll bring my computer and show you some short cuts that will help you plan routes.

There is a driving class at the center on Saturday morning and it will last until about 4PM. We have been given the OK to begin arriving at noon on Saturday. I plan to be there by noon as Ray and I will be setting up the Smart Trainer as well. The Flea Market I suppose would be best set up in the garage as we have done in the past...I am not sure how many people are in the driving class and just what all they will be useing there. I will try to determine that tomorrow...but anytime from noon on should be good. It looks like the weather is going to be good as well See ya'll there!
