  • I can't hear you!

Just sitting here listening to the rain start to fall outside. Crap, I was just about out of the office a little early to steal a little ride and here comes the rain. I have checked the radar and I guess the fast approaching 5 o'clock traffic and rain will cancel my steal away plans for today.

The boards have been quiet for several days now and I can't believe nothing is going on. Where is everybody? Surely there are tales to tell of weekend riding, something for sale or just lies about something. The regulars have sure been quiet lately!

Somebody speak up! Gail, Norwood, Bill, Gary, J.J....somebody!

Frequently I sign on and see guest are on board and see lots of "reads" on the threads but not much banter. Get it going people I'm bored!

I'll even throw out some topics...

Other than me and Martin Benson and Mr. Steber is anybody scoring those ABEES points?

Who would be interested in a fall (October 19) ride to Bourbon Country in Kentucky? I am thinking of a ride of maybe 6-10 folks staying in motels and touring Maker's Mark and maybe one or two other distilleries in the area. Couple that with some great Kentucky roads and fall foliage and I think you would have one fine weekend. Leave Bham early Friday and stay Friday and Saturday nights returning to Bham on Sunday afternoon. Probably cost a couple hundred bucks or so.... I am just thinking about it now but if anyone is interested, let me know right away!

Any other good ideas? This is the place to put them out!

    I hear you

    Vance,

The October ride sounds great. I am already committed to the NC mountains that week with family.

The weather is getting better for work and riding. I am looking to make a 3 day trip to south east Alabama and FL next week. If thinks go right I should get the extreme point and several ABEES. Also maybe a few orders.

Sounds great Martin! What do you sell? Just wondering. As stated before I like to ride on my stuff too but don't get to as much as I would like. I am in industrial construction so most of the time the folks I am calling on are cool with it.

As for the Bourbon Run, after a closer look and a check with the "Boss" I learn that the weekend of 10/19 is the only available weekend we have. So that is what I am thinking.

John and I just got back from the Beemers in the Bluegrass. You guys missed the best of the "laid back" rallies. The leaves are already starting to fall as they have been almost as dry as we have and are just showing a hint of color. Watch out for those tobacco leaves. They are hazardous when wet on the road! There is a nice winery in Owensboro Elk Creek, that has a good lunch, if you are in that area on your distillery tour.

          Vance,

I represent several furniture manufacturers. I call on retail furniture stores. Most of my dealers are ok with me in ATGATT. Now if I am not on my bike, they want to know where it is.

I will check calender for the week end of the 19th.
