new rider from Tuscaloosa

Hi all,

I could find a place to put my introduction, so I am doing it here.
I am from Tuscaloosa and own a 2009 R1200GSA. I am loving it and look out for people that also ride a cow :-)
I have been quiet a couple of times in the Talladega Forrest exploring. I like "on" and "off", though I find it more challenging the maneuver that big bike off the pavement. I hope to meet some other GS-Riders through this forum.

HI Alex, and welcome aboard! Great to have you here. I must confess, I too ride a "cow" and love it! Further I must admit my "off" excursions are mostly on my 650 X Challenge (just traded for a 450X) and it is much easier!

Welcome and you're in the right spot. We've got people with GS's that really get them dirty, then ride them cross-country. Personally, I've seen the bottom of my GS while bitting off more than I could chew in a place I WILL visit again. I've smoked a clutch (literally) and kept going.

I seem to recall Russ and I carrying a certain KTM up a small rock step-up after "someone" did a face plant.
