Has anyone heard IF or WHEN the Ride To Eat at Ezell's Catfish is? If anyone doesn't know, this is just a RTE(mostly IronButters) , in Lavaca, Alabama. Paul & I try to always go cause it is a nice ride for us and the IB folks are interesting. I have looked on every website I can think of that might have the date of this event listed, to no avail. I would personally like to see a bunch of AL Club members (those who really ride) show up just to let them know they ain't the only ones who ride! (Of course, most of them have ridden from all over the U.S. and Canada)We could tell them we know someone who rode to the tip of Argentina! This event is usually around April - May. Thanks..... Gail

Ezell's Catfish RTE

The 2011 edition is planned for Saturday April 30th. As always, Greg Roberts will be hosting the event.

All y'all are welcome to join us on the beautiful and scenic shores of the Tombigbee River for a lunch with good company, great catfish, sweet tea, and of course...fried dill pickles!

Well that puts it on the same weekend as the Gulf Shores meeting. It is 170 miles from the Gulf Shores campground to Ezells so that is pretty far to go for lunch if you come to Gulf Shores on Friday unless you start out pretty early. However if you were coming to the meeting on Saturday you could stop there and make it to Gulf Shores in time for dinner. I think I'll stay down at the beach and eat shrimp instead of catfish.

Ok, deleted my earlier post...had my dates wrong.... those dates will conflict as well with Georgia MT. Rally as well... and I will be in the Ozarks that weekend with my MTF group... Wed thru Sunday... ..

The Motorcycle Tourer's Forum provides a meeting place for motorcycle touring enthusiasts, owners, riders, and admirers of all brands and models of touring motorcycles.

This is a place to hang out, POST messages, share stories and photos and get questions answered about that tour that you have been dreaming about.

Our events are usually divided in three basic groups...
Flower Sniffin... on road, sightseeing riding or touring. This year our focus for events are a tour around Lake Superior, Ozarks Mountains, Smoky Mountains...
RRR Rough Road Riding ... off road riding associated with an event, this year we focus on Big Bend, Ozarks, Kentucky, Smoky Mountains.
Long Distance Riding... the group will focus on some SS1000 rides, Coast to Coast ride, and other timed events with sanction of the IBA (Iron Butt Association)

Any given weekend, someone can call a RTE or RTM (Ride to Eat or Ride to Meet) this year thus far we have had a RTE at Stagecoach, New Year Eve in Florida and New Year's day in Florida, BBQ weekend in Augustus (last week) next week we go to Moonshine to join 1000 other bikers to support a charity and eat the best burger in the Mid West ...bar none....come go with me... to Moonshine Ill. .....

Yes a diverse group of bikers of all brands...I have been a member since 2004.
