Crazy times here in Afghanistan

Yesterday was yet another bad day here in Kabul. I had just flown into our ramp on the airport when we were told that the gates were all locked down. Right next door to us was where the Afghan officer opened fire in a building and killed 9. 8 were us military and one contractor. Our Afghan interpreter was in the building and was next to 4 of the victims. He jumped out of a 2 story window to get away. Sprained his ankles. He was so close to the massacre that he had blood spray all over him. Lucky young man for sure. Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers.
