Suz and I are in Gulf Shores at Gulf State Park, Lord willin' our house will be there when we get home. The neighbors have not called us so we hope it is. See y'all this weekend.
Glad that you're OK Bob. From the reports on TV it looks really bad in places.
Jim, glad that you and Suzi were not in harms way and pray that y'all home is OK also. we're heading for Gulf Shores tomorrow morning so we'll see y'all there.
Our neighborhood (adjoining Steber's to the north) took a big hit with the first storm. Thankfully, no injuries to persons in our area, but a lot of damage to houses. It will take awhile to clean up the neighborhood again, and even longer before the damages are completely repaired. Lots of streets closed, too.
And we are lucky! Let's hear how our Tuscaloosa, Alabaster, Pelham, etcetera members fared!

Jack. We dodged a bullet today. I did not know that there was that much damage only a short distance form our home. We were returning from Crestwood this afternoon and detoured from turning sloth on Caldwell Mill Rd. turning form Acton. The policeman manning the inner section told us that Caldwell Mill Rd. was closed from the Cahaba River bridge. Hope you did not have damage and glad you are safe.

Here is photo taken by friend of tornado after it hit Smithville MS ...community and school....took a hard hit...school is gone...
Just wanted to give a shout out that the Cains are OK. We live in south Tuscaloosa, so we weathered the Tornado with only an 8 hour power outage.
We got a couple of phone calls from concerned BMWMOA members, and are grateful for your concern.
The damage in Tuscaloosa is beyond what Bruce and I could have imagined. He has been out to check on a couple of his relatives that live in the area of destruction, and all are OK.
This event has hit our State hard, and will be a long time in recovering. Please continue to pray for those who have lost lives, and homes. There are hundreds in Tuscaloosa that have lost their homes. It breaks my heart to see my community and state hurting in this way.

I've called many and had e-mails from some, and all are well so far.
Still haven't heard from Albert or Anna White in Tuscaloosa, but glad to hear from everyone else. Also glad that my son, in Cahaba Heights, is fine.
It makes ya cry to see the devastation in all those areas that were hit so bad.
I've been worried about all our AL friends for the past couple of weeks as there have been sporadic tornadoes. I've been checking the forum every day for news. Called Rhonda and Wanda for an update yesterday.
I hope no one has any serious damage.
Please keep posting as people check in. Won't be able to make the meeting this weekend. Hope Wanda can update me on everyone when she and Bob return.
