Ironic MOA Rally.. Bloomsburg now flooded

I find it ironic that many folks on the MOA forum..talked about moving dates for the rally, later means cooler weather and so on.... but had the rally been scheduled for this week...a total evacuation would have been necessary....

Also, I am learning that my favorite little store up at Forksville, PA with the covered bridge may be NO more...they are in real danger of losing the store and the covered bridge due to flooding...sad!

I have had these folks on my mind for several days and in fact this morning I called the Maintenance Foreman I worked so closely with during the rally. The fairground is flooded up to the music stage which includes where the vendors were from the main gate and the Beer Garden. The river is expected to crest on Saturday about 3' over flood stage. He told me that would put about a fot of water in his Maintenance Shop located along US 11 behind the buidings that housed our vendors.....
Translated that means we would have had to evacuate the entire fairground were we there right now.
So, even though it was bad....it could have been sooooo much worse!
