  • Mettzler me-880 versus michelin road pilot 3 tires

I ride a K1200LT and wonder if anyone who currently rides one of these beasts have ever used the Michelin Road Pilot 3 tires on their rides. How does this tire compare to the Mettzler ME-880 so far as ride, mileage, cost, etc.

I don't think they come in a size to fit the LT. They do fit the RT I know but check with Terry at Terry's two wheel.

I switched from the Z6 to the Pilot Road this year and with slightly more than 2,000 miles they are holding up very well. They seem to grip well enough. The reason I switched was that the Z6 would wear funny with knots or block sections coming up on the rear tire while it still had quite of bit of tread left.

Jerryl, I mentioned your question to Terry and he said the Road Pilot tire would not handle the weight of an LT.
