Wanda and I went to a Sportsman's Show yesterday at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. Some of the characters of the T.V. show "Swamp People" were there.

Did you audition for the next series? I'm sure you have the weapons, do you have an airboat?

I did audition for the series but was turned down, my accent wasn't Cajun enough. they said I sounded like I was from Alabama or somewhere I do have the necessary weapons for the job but no airboat. I actually used to catch quite a few alligators while I was on the job. One of our duties for many years was to catch and transfer nuisance gators from a complainant's property. I would have to "live catch' them and tie them up for transport to a suitable release location. Did this for quite a few years untill several occasions when I almost lost body parts. After coming within a few inches of getting a bite to my "jewels" area, I changed the policy to capturing nuisance gators with a 12 guage and 00 buck. The task always went smoothly after that I'll have to dig up an old photo and post it.

Mighty fine looking Swamp People Gator, thanks for sending the photos.

I am getting hooked on that show and look forward to each new adventure.

My great experiences while working and playing in Cajun Country made me learn to like and respect the good people there. The folks on Swamp People appear to be much like folks I had the pleasure to meet during my travels.

Your OO buck solution to the "Jewels" almost bitten is a good one and the one I would have made from the get go.
