I knew my Mom, Polly, was getting an award at the Nashville club meeting so this was no surprise. And I knew Ray Zimmerman was going to their meeting to present it.

But what Jerry Settle wrote me (below) about her reaction was a hoot !

Yes, Polly will be at the rally for her club in Burkesville, KY and at ours the next week busting ass at registration as usual, and gopher duties and whatever else .

Here's what Jerry wrote about her award night.

"Connie, Charlotte and I were invited to the Nashville BMW Club meeting on Tuesday night. Ray Zimmerman, the Executive Director of BMWMOA presented a Distinguished Service Award to Polly much to her surprise.

You know how she reacted? She thanked him for the award and then she advertised the Chicken Rally and tried to sell tickets on the the bike to be given away? You have trained her well don't you think? Charlotte and I were both proud for her and gave her a big hug at the end. Also, she sat at the table with Charlotte and me at supper and we got caught up on everything.
