Wanda and I are doing O K so far but we definitely had a lot more fun at Kinderfest than we've had the last 24 hours. The good news is that Isaac has downgraded from a hurricane but it's still moving veeerrrrryy slowly. We're in the "Eye" right now and have been for about 45 minutes so things have calmed down a good bit for now. It should be a while before we get the tail end of the storm since the eye is so large and it's moving so slowly. We've also been lucky since we haven't lost electricity so far(knock on wood). Hopefully the rear end of it will be past us by morning. It's not great trying to sleep through one of these storms.
What it looks like on our end. I took these after things had calmed down a bit. It was too rough to go outside before.

Bob, it looks like the Satsuma tree is getting beat up pretty badly. I hope it survives. Also, it appears that the canal is getting pretty full. Hang in there and we will pray for the best.

Good to hear from you guys. Looking at the radar earlier I thought the eye would pass very near you. Thw worst should be passed by now. Take care.

Thanks for the videos Gator. It sounds like you were getting a lot of hail along with the heavy rain and wind. I'm relieved to read that you suffered no damage so far and hope when the strom passes, you will still be OK.

All OK at our home. Power was just restored about 20 minutes ago. It took approximately 12 hours for the center of the storm to make it to Zachary from Houma.

Any volunteers for yard clean-up? Just found the downside to the empty nest.

Thanks for the concerns all. This is a strange storm. We had more wind this morning 14 hours after the eye passed over than we had yesterday before it did. It's finally starting to die down some. Glad we don't have the number of trees that Mike and Amelia do. Lucky that we were on the western side of the storm. Folks on the estern side are still getting hammered.

Well it looks like it's finally over for us here in Napoleonville. Woke up this morning to sunshine and calm. We had about 7.5 inches of rain but thankfully no damage or flooding here. We are fortunate, others have not faired so well. It's been a rough week here but it's not nearly over for many who lost homes to flooding. Our prayers go out to them.

Glad to hear all is well. We are still getting intermittant showers. Only about 1" rain total so far.
