BMW MOA Executive Director Announces His Retirement

The BMW MOA Executive Director announced his plans for retirement at the Board of Directors meeting last weekend in Salem, Oregon. Ray is of course a long time MOA member and an MOA Ambassador. In addition Ray has served as the Association's Executive Director for over 12 years. I want to personally thank Ray for his dedication to the MOA and for his years of service. Mari and I wish both he and Lorra the best in their retirement! Below is the official announcement that has been posted at the MOA.


Our BMW MOA Executive Director Ray Zimmerman has officially notified the Board of Directors of his intention to retire effective January 18, 2013 after many years of dedicated service to the members of the BMW MOA. We offer our congratulations and best wishes to Ray on his upcoming retirement. The Board of Directors is finalizing plans for finding Ray's successor and asks interested parties to wait for further details to be announced in early November.

Definitely a loss for the MOA but we will be glad to have him back in the Huntsville area again

Oh he is moving back. His house is 90% or more complete in New Market! Lorra is already spending time here in the new house. It will be great to have them back on home soil!
