Club Meeting @ Laurel Trails

I just want to say Thank You to Tommy & Jeannine Arnold for all their hard work in making the club meeting a great one. The weather would not cooperate, but it didn't spoil the fun. The butts & cobblers were to die for! Also, thank you to Shelia Kalahan for decorating the tables and the little sack of Halloween goodies she gave to all. Paul & I really enjoyed the weekend. Thanks to Malvene & Jamie for their hospitality & bringing us breakfast. I love you all Gail

I agree Gail, the weekend was fantastic, seeing friends that we don't get to see often enough. Thanks to all that work so hard to make these meeting so enjoyable to those of us outofstaters that can't participate like we want to. We do appreciate what you do and the friends we have made in the BMWMOAL.

We had a really good time seeing everyone and eating some great food. But the ride that Rick led was absolutely the best. Thank you Rick. Riders were myself and Al, my friend John, Jim Dubick, and Rick and Dickie. The weather wasn't bad at all. Just had to wait until the fog lifted. Roads were fabulous. We were really glad to be able to stay in the cottage with eight of our closest friends. Very thin walls, a few doors lacking, but at least beds and heat.

We had a great time at the club gathering in Monteagle. It was good seeing some of our friends again and missed the ones who weren't there. Thanks to Tommy and Jeannine and everyone who helped put on a great weekend. This was our first time at Laurel Trails and Monteagle and the area is fantastic. The weather could have been a little better but we still had a great time. We got home today at about 12:30 P.M. we left yesterday and rode back with Mike and Rhonda with a stop in Meridian last night. It was cold and damp for a good part of yesterday. Today it was gorgeous but cold, 36* when we left Meridian this morning. I took a few pictures at Monteagle. I'll load em to Picasa and post them soon.

I would also like to express my thanks to Tommy and Jeannine for their hard work in hosting the meeting at Monteagle. Even though I was a late arrival and missed the Saturday ride, I did have a good time. I left Monteagle at 3:30 Sunday morning and was back home a little after 12:30. I pretty much had the road to myself until I reached Birmingham.
