A friend and fellow BMW rider heads to space

We are having a discussion about Alan "dex" Poindexter over on the BMWSporttouring board. Here is the link:

I met Dex several years ago at one of our Unralleys in Eurika Springs. We have gotten together a few times since then. He is a really neat guy and is the pilot of the shuttle. Dex is the second in line in the opening photo.

The mission was scrubbed yesterday and will try again tomorrow.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know that. I heard the mission was scrubbed yesterday and they will not fly until at least tomorrow now. I did not realize another mission was this soon until a couple days ago. It is still hard for me to believe how many shuttle missions there have been since the beginning of the program! I remember when the shuttle mission began and it doesn;t seem like that long ago...man I AM getting old...and quick too!
I will watch this mission with even more intrest now though...thanks Steve!
