  • Bama Jams Too Good to be Real???

Didn't have to look hard to find this... if you were at the meeting yesterday, you'll know what I'm referring to: http://www.wtvy.com/home/headlines/T...163112636.html

Too good to be real????? For what it counts, I would have second thoughts about getting into a business relationship with Bama Jams....

and there's more about a notice of foreclosure on the BamaJam Farms RV Park by PCB Holdings marked January 29, 2013

The Rally Committee did cover and discover many aspects of holding a rally and the future of our Club and it's rally. The duty of the committee was to report to the club it's findings and inform the club as to regulations and to safe guard the Club for future rallies and venues. I think we covered most all the areas.

In the process, we discounted several venues after a visit or obtaining information about a venue. The venue mentioned was not considered and only brought to our attention three days before the final report. We will visit and evaluate the venue as we did with others. Since this venue was presented to the club business meeting, the committee will also have available the club president and rally chairman in attendance during our visit and discussion with said venue....

Any venue that offers to provide a meeting place and services...will need a contract in place to protect both parties.

Don't wanna get into a pissin' contest here but you need to look at the dates of those two links and understand that BamaJam farms is under totally "NEW" management and has nothing to do with the previous owners. As Don said the Committee will look into any and all venues including the one you put forth so the club can make any further decisions concerning the Rally

        This dated April 12th.

I certainly hopes the committee looks very closely with the "new" ownership.

Yup, it’s official, the 2013 bama jam concert is cancelled. So the 18,000 people who would have helped out the economy in Enterprise wont' be showing up in Southern Alabama. So let’s just let the NEW OWNER, Husband and Father fail. Go ahead, get on that band wagon and help the State ruin another families hopes of the American Dream of owning a business and provide a service to the community. I sincerely hope the Rally committee comes down to see the facility. I know Jim and Shiela gave a good report on all the pro’s this facility has to offer and I hope the nay Sayers will open their minds to new options.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t want the Club to get into an illegal and/or less than professional relationship with any business. We need the committee to come and check it out. Bring your best investigators and check the facility out.
I don’t have the years behind me like most of you but I do have the clubs best interest at heart. From what I’ve seen over the past few years, Ditto’s Landing is not the place to continue to hold the Rally. I have a friend who is a food service inspector. We have been lucky and I’ll leave it at that.
I have 11 days of Sequester to use as my Government can’t pass a budget. I’ll take a day to go with the committee and check out the area. I’ll even bring my 650 so you can ride around the 26 miles of trails. Give this guy a chance… End of Rant.

I am not trying to be a naysayer of the Bama Farms site. I was only presenting the information that was available concerning the location. I hope that the committee closely examines all aspects of the facility, including ownership, before making a decision. The rally cannot continue to function with the current makeup and does need to be changed.
