Our Son in law, John Long, has been named the Florida farmer of the year and is in the running for Sunbelt farmer of the year at this years Sunbelt AG Expo. John is also the Famous father of my favorite (and only) grandson, James Dubick Long. Here is a link to the website.

Good write up and wishing him the best..this would be a great honor just to be in the running..

I attend the Expo several years back in my cattle farming days...there you can go wild buying real nice farm farkles...an amazing week...250,000 plus each day.... just try to avoid Wednesday...this was FFA day and think every school kid in the SE was there... 500,000 a few times... and we had to book our motel room a year in advance....usually 30 to 40 miles away...

Now, they divide the expo into division for your type of farming or interest ....from backyard gardens to sections of soybeans and corn...

Worth a visit....
