Ahh the Trace does look nice today Gail! Glad to see Paul has his bike going again...and you are right it was a fantastic day to ride. Unfortunately I had to work...but all my commuting and errand running was on two wheels!

Took a hint from Paul and Gail and Wanda and I took a 200 mile RTE trip today. We left home and rode the Miss. River road from the Sunshine bridge to Baton Rouge with a few other backroads along the way. We stopped at BMW of BR for a visit. After leaving there we made our way out of town taking U.S. 61 north to south of St. Francisville. We rode a few really nice backroads and circled back to St.Francisville for lunch at the Magnolia Cafe'. After a great lunch we headed out of town and crossed the Miss. River on the new bridge towards New Roads. From there we took the river road on the west bank of the river back down to Baton Rouge crossing back over the river again and riding south on La. 30 to Gonzales, La. then back across river again and on to home. What a great riding day with temps starting out at 57* and ending at about 80* when we arrived home. Sorry but we didn't take any pictures as we forgot the camera at home.

          Gator & Wanda,
Your ride sounded GREAT! We are motorcycle people, isn't riding what we are supposed to do? The weather and temps are about as good as it gets these past few days. If you haven't been out riding, then you are missing out. Gail & Paul

Gail, you are right, although Wanda and I don't ride nearly as much as we want to. The weather has been fantastic for riding. We could use a couple of more months of it. Ride safe.

The weather was so nice I took a 218 mile ride to Bass Pro Shop in Denham Springs to do a little browsing. Took nothing but back roads both going and returning home. The return route included some roads I've not ridden before. I planned the ride ahead using my GPS and it was a good thing I did as some roads had no signs on them to tell me if I was on the right one! All in all a great ride.
