  • Do I even need to be riding a mc?

Since Santa brought me some fancy new Wolfman tank panniers for my KLR ( I have been good, unlike Gary), I thought I would go out to the garage this evening and get them mounted on the bike. Mounting the panniers wasn't a problem, and I was sitting on the bike imagining going across a big water crossing and how cool I will look with my new farkle, when the bike gets over balanced and falls over with me still sitting on it. As most of you know, I am really short and a KLR is really tall....heavy too! Most of the time just falling over isn't that big of a deal, but my shoe (sandle) is caught on something and I can't begin to get out from under this thing! Well, I lay there for about five minutes trying to decide what to do. Did I mention I was at home alone? Thank you Jesus for cell phones. I really hate to call Paul, but I really don't have too many options. I asked him if he could come home a little early today because I let the KLR fall over on me, and he said don't worry about it he wouuld be right there. I didn't emphasize that I was still under it because I didn't want to be overly dramatic . About 40 minutes later (man, that garage floor is cold and hard), my better half shows up and is surprised to see me under the bike. He gets the thing off my foot and we get the bike picked up. NOW it's funny! I think I will just go in the house and do some womans work . Gail

Where is the movie camera when you need it? That footage would probably bring 10K on Funniest Home Videos!! Don't worry about it Gail, there's those that have and those that will.

Gail, I can understand that something like this could happen but what I can't understand is why in the world you would let anybody know about it. Too funny!

Gail, I assume you are ok from that little mishap. We've all been there. Glad you are ok. By the way never tell a guy to come home a little early. That could be anywhere between 30 min to 3 days.

              Gail,
Dang it, I am just glad you took my advice and released Paul from the ROK straps for the holidays. I can just see the investigators trying to figure out what wierd folks would have come through you neighborhood tying up folks and laying motorcycles on them if you had had to call 911 . Bet this would have made the "Steen Herald."
Maybe you weren't too good anyway and this was Santa's revenge versus not bring you anything.
Remind me to keep a watch out for you two when I visit again.

Glad you weren't hurt. Now go and tie Paul up again and have a good time with him over New Year's.
