Jamie, the fries, hamburgers and shakes are about as good as they get.
The 107 highway from Cashiers down to Walhalla is one of my favorite rides.
Also if you are hungry when you are around Cashiers, try the "Wild Thyme" deli. Great sandwichs and coffee.Martin Benson

When we rolled in here for breakfast, there were about 3 or 4 gentlemen standing by where we parked. They noticed us and remarked about our bikes and riding gear.
One said that that they did not hear us until we were by them and that if all motorcycles were as quiet as ours and motorcyclist were dressed like us there would be more respect for motorcyclist. He then said, that it seemed that the first thing a Harley owner does is take off the muffler and get loud pipes.
Thought this a nice complement for our style of riding.Martin Benson

Martin, that pretty much sums it up as to why I prefer the BMW crowd. All that plus the fact that I am not embarrassed to carry my grandchildren, for instance, to our meetings and campouts. I think most Harley riders really need some counceling to find out why they need so much attention. I saw one today at the grocery store (without a bike) but with a Harley shirt, cool Harley sunshades, earring, chained wallet, smart mouth, et.al., and thought "You know, the old saying 'All hat and no cattle' really fits".
I overheard the sacker telling this guy that I have a trailer and come get my groceries on the bike. The smart mouth said he didn't need no trailer, his bike had saddle bags that would hold all the groceries that he needed and he didn't intend to pull no sissy trailer. I can't help but wonder how many miles this yuppy biker puts on his machine each year. I would like to see him try to keep up with this trailer pulling sissy for just one full day of riding.Jamie

Lets see now if I got this straight: F(female) designation on Jamie's driver's license and claiming to being a trailer pulling sissy. Next thing you know there will be a rainbow tag on that trailer. What a great photo for the front page of of the best darn newsletter in the business.
