I love to ride and with any chance I get. I must be getting old and wimpy though...I had the opportunity to ride on Saturday and go wherever I wanted. But considering the intense heat and remembering that recent ride in from Billings in blistering temps....I opted for the lake instead...I just couldn't get excited about gearing up and riding in temps near 100* and heat indexes approaching 105. Dip in the lake felt good though!

I sure am looking forward to the cooler temps and riding the NC mountains in a couple weeks!

That's all true Vance but the year is more than half over and I am personally not looking forward to cold weather. Summer is good and dipping in the lake is a lot more fun than huddling around the fireplace. Of course we have family in south Florida so we can escape and have a place to go.

you are right Jim...I really hate cold weather...rather be hot than cold any day. It just seems this oppressive heat has effected me more this year than ever before. But hey bone chillin' cold is no good either! Maybe I am too hard to please....I would like it to be a little cooler but not too much...lol...

I'll take the cold over the hot. I can put enough on to stay warm but can't take enough off to get cool. Can't wait to get back to CO in Sept and ride in the cooler weather.

looking forward to seeing you too Bruce! At least the heat has broken a bit. I have to run some errands this afternoon and I gonna ride! Woo hoo! Full disclosure I did get out Friday afternoon for my decompression ride and here is one of my favorite spots between Chelsea and Harpersville. A very cool dirt road near this train track...I decided to wait for him!
