  • Best Way to Blue Ridge MTR Campground - Not Through Atlanta

Since this will be my first time at Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground. I wonder if any of you have a good way to get there without having to go through Atlanta. Since I will be traveling alone, would rather stay on the primary roads.

I had looked at going up 65 to 59 through Chattanooga. I know it's longer, but I really do not like ATL...even if I was flying.
    Thanks

Paul, glad to see you will attend the BRCG gathering. You won't be disappointed.
    .
Take look at this route on Google Maps or your favorite mapping software:

    I 65N > I 24E > I 75N> US 64 Bypass/ US 64E > US 129/19N > US 74E > US 276S > BRMC - Estimated 590 miles.

      Hey Bob,
I think you should have inserted I 59 between I 65 and I 24. That is 75 miles farther than going through ATL but worth it.

Are you having lunch at the Cajun Depot in Ellijay?

Not on the way up but we are stopping there on the way back. We are riding with Bob and his route going up crosses GA north of Rome and Calhoun. We should be in Tellico Plains by lunch.

Jim. We should be in Tellico Plains around 12:30 pm eastern. The Town Square Restaurant and Bakery is a good place for lunch during lunch hour. Tellico Grains is also a good place, but it is small and always crowded during lunch time.

                  Bob,
When we were up there the last week of July we ate at Tellico grains because the Town Square Restaurant was closed. I hope it is open for you tomorrow.

                    Thanks Jim.

Trip Advisor had ratings from last week. That said, if they are not open, we will try to get in Tellico Grains.
