Ok, maybe not afar. How about South Shades Crest and 12 years? In any event it has been too long since I have been in touch with many of you and I'm sure there are way too many members out there that I just don't know. That is all certainly my loss. Trust me when I say that once upon a time the BMWMOAL organization was a focal point in my life and I miss those days tremendously. There is nothing like being on a motorcycle in the company of good friends.
First the bad news. I don't ride much anymore. I often wonder why that is but the simple fact is that I don't. Marriage, age, traffic, seasons of life, the loss of my friend J.P. Dunbar, I guess all these have a part in it. I find myself with three very nice BMW motorcycles and I only need one. I am going to offer them for sale and wanted to offer them locally first. I like them all so I guess I will sell the first two that sell and keep the third. Even if I don't ride much anymore I get a sincere amount of joy just looking at them and sitting on them and making "buddin buddin" noises as JP used to say. But that is not why they were built.
All of these bikes will need new batteries prior to sale. I hesitate to purchase new batteries without knowing how much (if any) interest there is in these bikes. If you are interested, please let me know and I will make them ready for your inspection. Needless to say I believe these to be fine motorcycles as good as, and as much fun as, the day they were made. They are not new, heck the newest is 1994 so 21 years old! That is a shock to think about. They are unique and you will certainly not see yourself coming down the road. Feel free to call or email me anytime about these and for high quality pictures. I will post the ads in the equipment section.
I hope to catch up with you all one Thursday night soon.
Till then, ride safe.
