Just back from a ride up to KY and back down TN 56. I rode part of the road on my way to Elizabethtown to find the Wicked Eyed Woman and wanted to ride all of it. Left Monday and road up thru Mentone, Jasper TN, Crossville and then westward from US 127 on Wilder Hwy (co rd 85). This was almost a mistake. I should have looked more closely at Google Maps. A bit more twisty than I needed to do with around 300 miles on me for the day. Overnighted at a small motel in Celina, TN. Left Tuesday and circled into KY to find KY 63 that becomes TN 56. A few tight twists coming out of Red Boiling Springs and a great climb up to Beersheba Springs and then the great run down the mountain from Sewanee. Total miles 735. A great way to spend two day. Hoping for good weather Saturday for a ride to Mentone.
