I got to fly to Ashville for an overnight with a friend of mine and talked him into going up to the Pisgah Inn for dinner. We were staying at the Hampton by the airport and drove up there hoping to have a scenic view for dinner. But the clouds rolled in and it was just a white out. However the fried trout was great with a glass of Pino Grigio. Then we drove down to the Blue Ridge M/C campground and had a chat with Jay. We saw a lot of downed trees and Jay showed us a video on his phone of the river raging under the bridge. Fortunately the new bridge can handle the flow. No damage to the campground though and there were a few Harley riders there. Jay said Philip is acting retired but should be up there for the club get together. I for one am looking forward to getting to ride up there again to one of my favorite places on God's green earth!!
