Nov R-2-E at The Ark in Riverside

I’m happy to report another successful MOAL Ride-2-Eat. For Nov 8th the weather was balmy in north-central AL. Temps at the weekly Blue Plate Cafe Vintage breakfast were about 60F @0800 which is liable to be the end of our Indian Summer come Monday. HSV riders were Phil & Karen, Tony Lee, Jim & Michael McCorstin, & Mike Marshall. We picked up a 7th BMW rider at the Murphy’s Express on the Parkway where we can get non-ethanol 93 octane fuel. We headed south on regular roadways; not wandering around on county backroads. We arrived at the Ark just as they opened; Pam & Tom and Mari & Vance greeted us as the seven BMWs arrived from Huntsville. The group enjoyed some large hushpuppies as we waited for our individual selections. After our delicious lunch, we headed homeward bound in various directions. I took a photo of my dash heading north with the PM temperature at 77F [very comfortable in Nov]! There won't be a second Saturday ride-2-eat next month, But MOA CC-05 will gather once again for our December business meeting and holiday party/Dinner in the afternoon/evening on Dec 13th at the Hampton Inn at Eagle Point southeast of Birmingham.
