  • I had a blast this week

We got some very upfront and in your face training from the most prefessional organization I have ever worked with. Check out the things they do for all of the elite "super ninja" type operators in the armed forces and police forces: http://www.gryphonsecurity.com/index_2.htm

Smashing up other peoples toys is quite a bit of fun!

    Flying starts tomorrow.

Have a great time you mild ones and sip some Korn for me!

I spent last Saturday on a K1200GT for about 160 miles. That will be the modern bike for me and the Mrs. when I return.

      Steve,
That does look like fun stuff. Take care of yourself and stay in touch.

I was re-aquainted with an old friend this past week. Me and Mr. Huey had a fun week of autorotations, instruments and terrain flight. I will move into the modern Huey II next week for a few flights and will then be on my way. I depart the states on the 22nd.

Suz'anne is down here for the weekend and we are having a great time. Happy hour last night was very liberating. That girl needs to get out more often.

The Huey is still one of my favorite aircraft. I've never flown one but I flew in them quite a bit in Vietnam. We made several air assault's and insertions in the Huey's. Exciting times.

The Air Force Hueys were/are okay...they had two engines.

Good stuff Steve, thanks for the info and videos. They claim to be the best and it looks like they are.

Take care of yourself and keep those "cards and letters" emails and photos coming.

If Suz'anne needs anything, please know that she has a family of Alabeemers to help.

Two engines are no fun at all. A real pilot flying a single engine has to rely on skill and planning . I guess I am always at single engine airspeed. The neat thing about the Huey is that is floats for days and realy gives you the time needed to make decisions. She is a very stable platform and makes things a bit easier at cruise speeds than the little Kiowa Warrior I usually fly.

Suz'anne is comfortable knowing that all have offered help is needed.

                Thanks again to all!

                  Steve,
I'm like you, I just loved doing autorotations in the Huey. Although most of my time was in 'hooks, I really liked flying the Huey's - much more reliable. You know what they say? "When they put the last Blackhak in the boneyard, the crew will fly home in a Huey.
Take care my friend and keep us updated. Like Bob says, If Suzanne needs anything, tell her to ask.

Good to hear from you my man. Well, I must admit I don't know squat about Hueys or "hooks" or Kiowas but I am fascinated by those of you who do! Sounds like you are having fun and I know that is what you were after. Keep it up, stay safe and keep us informed. We are all anxious to hear the details and see the pictures. Let us know if you need anything or if we can help!

I start my transition into the Huey II today and my night vision goggle refresher as well. I should be complete by Thursday evening if the weather and maintenance allow.

I hate sitting here typing this while looking out the 10th story sliding glass doors of this beautiful ocean view. Pelicans flying by and the sun gleaming on the water.

                      Life sucks sometimes!

                            Has Steve left the building

I haven't seen a post in a bit. Is Steve still in training or has he left for his assignment?

                              This may answer that question.
