Saving money on Christmas
Last night just discovered a way to save some money on Xmas items.
I have been looking at new digital camera's. Had my eye on a Cannon Rebel xsi with lens which Best Buy has on sale for 799.99 plus taxes. Discovered that if I used MS live search engine and purchased from the Buy Now items on ebay I could save 30% on the ebay price. I ended up purchasing the same camera with lens plus a bonus pack of extra memory, table tripod, and a few other items for $368 shipped. Then I got an extended 3 yr warranty for $71 and change
Here's how. go to www.live.com (this is MS's search engine), do your search for the item you want. If it is on ebay, click on the ebay link where it say cash discount (or something like that). You will be taken to ebay where these items are listed, purchase from the Buy Now program and pay with Paypal. Microsoft will refund the 25 to 30% discount not to exceed $200 to your Paypal account. This weekend ebay is offering a 10% discount on purchases that can be applied in addition to the MS refund. To get the ebay discoutn enter CHOLIDAYNOV2008 in the discount coupon block. To get the MS refund you will have to open a MS live account and give them your personal info like name, address, ph and email.
If you want an extended warranty go to www.squaretrade.com, they are offering a 35% discount on their 3 yr warranties not to mention their warranties are cheaper than the ones at bestbuy and others.
So if you are looking for that new GPS or a camera it may be a good time to pull the trigger.
