Yep, more no sales of motorcycles, 4 wheelers, bicycles, snowmobiles to kids under the age of 13....not they going to get hurt riding and enjoying them but sick for the LEAD.... kills the market on the small cc bikes.

Yep, just this morning while out riding I saw a couple of kids eating their bikes.

On February 10, 2009, a law went into effect prohibiting the sale of minicycles to children under the age of 13 as a result of the lead content in the machines (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, Title I, Section 101). This law, which arguably applies to motorcycles ATVs, snowmobiles and even bicycles, treats any children's product that contains more lead than the limit established by law as a banned hazardous substance.

I was in Bogart's last week when David received a letter from KTM stating that he had only 5 days to sell the kids vehicles and clothing. After that date, they can not be sold. KTM is one of the finest quality products on the market today. David mentioned he thought it was a broad brush approach because of the problem with Chinese products containing lead paint. The $$ cost to Bogart's is high.

My letter was sent and I printed the letter to copy and mail personally to my congressmen. Big Brother keeps chipping away at our freedom and its getting time for all concerned Americans to bow up.

More nannyism from our government. Get used to it as we now have the most socialist oriented congress ever in these United States. Predict we will have OHSA regulations to build a d**n tree house. I also read that methane gas is dangerous to our health. Can we no long pass gas around our grandchildren? Inquiring minds (at least the bean eaters) want to know.
