We were traveling through Memphis in all the ice and snow yesterday when we came up on a motorcycle that had gone down on thick ice under an overpass.
Several cars had already stopped and were directing traffic. When we came by the guy was back on the bike and was pushing it to the shoulder.
As we passed by I first looked to see if the rider was OK. Since he was back on the bike I figured he was. Then I looked to see if he was wearing riding gear and he was in full gear. The next thing I looked at was the bike. Guess what, it was a BMW.
Looked like a K75 or K100 and no apparent damage. The guy had more guts than me being on the road in all that. We had spent the night about 60 miles west of Memphis and it took us 4 hours to drive that 60 miles in the car. I was just glad to see he was up and back on the bike.
