Connie and I would like to remind everyone to keep saving those aluminum pull tabs from all beverage cans! We will be using these as a part of our charity benefit at the MOA rally in July. These aluminum tabs are collected to benefit the Ronald McDonald house that has a local chapter right there in Johnson City. We plan to pull as many tabs as we can from cans that are served at the rally but we want to increase the count all we can. The tabs are small and easy to pack if you want to bring them to the rally.
In addition, we will collect them at each club meeting between now and then and we'll get them to the rally for you.
Thanks to all the members that have made an effort to collect tabs locally. We had at least 6 or more hand us about 1 1/2 gal of tabs this weekend alone! Great job everyone!
Some have gotten really proactive and asked their local schools, bars and other establishments to save the tabs for them to collect. What a great idea!!
I am sure you are aware that the Ronald McDonald house provides local housing for the families of kids receiving medical attention away from their home towns. To date over $4,000,000 has been raised for this cause from those little aluminum tabs! Every one adds up!
Please help us support this great cause and make a statement that we care! It's fun and easy to do!
