I just received a sale flyer for their 48th anniversary sale from Cabellas. On the last page is an ad for the SPOT satellite tracker. The unit is $149.99 with $150.00 maile in rebate when you sign up for 2 years serice(basic & tracking) so the unit is basically free. This is for the SPOT-1 model only. I had read on a couple other forums that individuals were having trouble getting rebates for their spot. Seems it is a third party that is doing the rebate and SPOT doesn't or won't get involved with the dispute between individuals and them. Sportsman warehouse and other stores have them on sale for $99. and you can pick what plan you want. Has anyone seen the new model for sale anywhere? I was kind of holding out for that one. Seems to be smaller and a couple other features that aren't on the old model.

Spot Generation 2 is due out within weeks... smaller, lighted buttons, cover protected 911 button... arm band...

When you get it.. I can give you the links and info for the Spot Manage Page like I use...it's free ...was develop by friend and now has over 600 users... what started with a handful of users... real flexible ....

Of course offers a track page as well...with limitations.

Several new and faster features are coming as well.
