  • Road Warrior, 1981 BMW R100RS for sale

Ok, I know, it's bad form to make your first post a For Sale Ad, but I have been reading this forum for a while.
    Rather than use up bandwidth, here's link to my ad on AdvRider;
Road Warrior, 1981 BMW R100RS for sale in Alabama

I can be reached @ norton73 at windstream dot net if anyone holds an interest.

Bring it to the BMW state rally this weekend at Ditto Landing in Huntsville and hang a sign on it. Have all you can eat for three days, buy a ticket to win the G650GS which will be raffled off and you could go home happy!

Thanks, but I'm already committed elsewhere. One of these days I'll make it to the Diplomat Deli or the Rally.

Heads up on the Diplomat Deli gathering,

Unfortunately, it's not too well attended any more, so you might want to post first to see who might be going before you end up there possibly alone.

We need to find a new weekly hang out spot to get it started again. Many of us have gotten tired of the Diplomat Deli and have ended up letting other things take precedence.

There are a few who still do attend regularly but I'm not sure how regular and would hate for you to show and it be a night when no one goes.

As one of the most regular Diplo Deli attendees (along w/Mike Greenwood & Woods McRoy), I agree that attendance has dropped to practially nothing these past few months. And with the construction on I-65 between I-459/US31, it can be a real pain in the a-- to get there.

Still, the food's pretty good (but the menu's limited -- I think Susan and I have tried most of it), and you've got to eat somewhere on Thursday night, so when I'm in town, Susan and I are usually there.

Of course, if the club can find a new place to hold a non-meeting, I'm game to move! Just post it on the website and in the newsletter, and we can give it a try!

          Requirements:
          1) Good food
          2) Good service
          3) Can get there w/o too much traffic trouble
          4) No problem with getting individual checs
          5) No feeling of being rushed out of there
          6) Safe parking for motorcycles

not required, but nice to have
          6) Outdoor seating for good weather.

Anyone know of other possibilities in the Birmingham/Hoover metro area? It doesn't have to be "Over the Mountain"!

I think it would be nice to have it near the new dealership. I think there is a Hooters over there. I have heard that they have good food.

Hooters may have good food, but the nearest one is located in Trussville. The one near the new (BMW Shop) location closed years ago.

                  Hey Jack.

Good to know that you are keeping up with the finer eateries in the Birmingham area .
