For Sale:
2009 BMW G450X
This is the best dirt bike I have ever owned, and it is street legal. I have owned dirt bikes from major manufacturers (KTM, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki), and this has been the best one I have ever owned or ridden. Controlled and predictable slides when desired. I am selling it because I have too many other priorities and no time to ride right now. It is a shame to keep this as a distraction, when someone else should really be enjoying this incredible motorcycle.
I used this bike as a dual sport to ride gravel roads and some single-track trails. I recently installed Pirelli Scorpion tires, which turned it into an excellent supermoto bike.
Location: Near Barber Motorsports Park and Museum in Birmingham, AL (delivery negotiable)
Asking price: $4600 Negotiable
Miles: ~ 3000
Hours: 83.7
The Good (BMW Innovations):
Ohlins Suspension
Countershaft sprocket on swingarm pivot
Clutch mounted directly on crankshaft
Fuel injected
Highest production horsepower rating (09)
Fuel tank under seat
Programmable Enduro computer timer
The Bad:
Horn mount broken
Handlebar switch cover missing
Speedometer display takes time to warm-up
Floppy mirrors
Fake Carbon look sticker peeling away from fuel tank
The bad items are really not that bad. More of annoyances than actual problems, but I wanted to list everything up front. Still have the horn, but mounting bracket is broken. Handlebar switch works fine, just missing the cap. Enduro computer/speedometer has missing segments when it first starts, but the segments work after a few minutes/miles of running. New timer/speedo display cost ~$170 new. Mirrors will stay in place up to about 40 MPH, any faster and they start to “self-adjust”.
The Extras (accessories/upgrades):
Yuasa battery (YTZ7S) less than year old – kept on Battery Tender
Pirelli Scorpion tires with a few hundred miles
Tube-Bliss on front wheel
Touratech Engine Guard
Touratech Luggage rack
Touratech Handlebar pad
Touratech special tool for sprocket removal
Touratech number plate backgrounds (yellow) - uninstalled
Rear Fender Bag
New Fat handlebars (narrow and high)
FI map switch (fuel mileage/performance)
Exhaust Catalyst removed
Bark Busters with integrated LED turn signals
Short LED turn signals in rear
Enduro taillight with small tag mount
Spare BMW Oil filter (two)
Spare BMW Air filters (two)
Spare OEM tail-light
Spare OEM turn signals
Spare OEM chain slider
OEM front sprockets (two)
OEM tool kit and pouch
I am not desperate to sell, but I would like to sell quickly and have listed price as negotiable. If you decide to make an offer, make sure that you do not risk losing this incredible motorcycle to someone who has made a better offer. I have this listed on several websites, and will sell to first response at full asking price. I will consider offers, but your offer does not secure the purchase until we have both confirmed the offer/counter-offer deal.
