  • Communicators

I am planning to purchase a communication system for the ride to Strugis, I would like to have my Crackberry's music and helmet to helmet with my buddy on his Hurley.
Anyone got any free advice on the best product out there?

    Hi Danny.

I don't use a communication system like you are looking for, but several club members do. To the best of my knowledge, they all have Chatterboxes. Terry Ware at Terry's Two Wheel stocks and installs the systems. He would be a good person to talk to about this (terrry.ware@gmail.com). His phone number is in the blue club directory.

      Danny,

I have tried many of the products out there over the past 10 years and am totally sold on the J&M unit. It is a CB and has the ability to have one device plugged in to listen to. You have the option as well to buy the two up version with intercomm if that is what you want. It does transmit bike-to-bike over a CB chanel of your choosing, but we have never had an issue with interference. It also has weather radio. Total cost for the unit and the headset is about $500.

      Good luck,

      Steve

        Commo

+1 on the J&M's. We have used these for years and another plus is on those days when you have to ride in the "RAIN" these systems will be the only units working at the end of the day.
On long trips the weather radio is a big plus.

          Comm system

Has anyone intstalled the J&M system on a K1200lt? If so, is there any extra hardware to purchase necessary/required to mount it on the K1200LT?

I am looking for a good comm system that will go on my K1200LT with the least amount of bother/trouble to install.

          Please advise

Well, I know Chatterbox has units that will do that. I have not included my cell phone at this point. And I do not use the Bluetooth but I know they have it. Good luck!

I use the Nolan N-com bluetooth system. I love it. I can either use it with just a bluetooth phone or sync my phone with my Zumo and then my Zumo to my helmet. I get the turn by turn directions, music, phone and intercom all wireless.
