I just ordered a Gerbings Jacket and controller. Everything was shipped for free, plus I got a good deal. If anyone is looking I can give you the info.

Wise choice Erik. I have enjoyed my Gerbings jacket and HeatTroller for several years.

For maximum warmth, it is important that it fits you fairly tightly. If the temps are below freezing, I like to put a long sleeve tee shirt over the jacket.

Yes indeed! Good stuff. I held out for the longest time on purchasing this gear but I have been very pleased with it. And I hear that new micro-wire stuff they have is even better. I imagine that is what you got Erik??

            Yep,

Got the new microwire. Now I am just waiting for some freezing weather to try it out.

Malvene purchased a Gerbings jacket with micro-wire and variable controller at the Swamp Scooter Rally (vendor Shango Rider). She was glad she had it on the way home. She said it worked great and kept the controller turned toward low.

The micro-wire has a life time warranty!

I know several riders that are opting for the much less expensive First Gear. Jacket and controller all in one for $150-190. I wish we could hook them up to our aircraft here. It is getting very cold in these thar hills!!!!!

Steve - Do you miss us yet? Hope things are going well for you. The past couple of months have been great for riding. But soon it will getting cold and will be time for the winter projects (Starting on the '35 R2). If you need us to send you a care package, give us a mailing address. I probably could run down to WalMart and pick you up some long johns since they don't give you guys heaters!

I have been enjoying the heck out of the GS. Probably 4 or 5k in the last couple of months. And I only got stuck once. Thank goodness Jim and Russ seem to be shadowing me everywhere. They were able to push me out of the creek.

                      Erik,
You shore got a purty mouf . Good for you on getting the Gerbings...you will love it! As long as you have the heated gear, it doesn't get too cold to ride here. Gail

I'm confused....I keep seeing the terms "Warm & Safe" and "Firstgear"; I thought these were two different companies. Now I'm seeing the terms used together on Firstgear web site and in videos....what's the deal ?
