Ethanol Free Gas Station

I know we all would like to use fuel without ethanol in our BMW's. It is a hit and miss in finding stations that sell pure gasoline. I am attaching two files of these stations in Alabama.

The first file is a gbd file for Garmin gps. This file can be downloaded into MapSource and then onto your gps as any of our ABEES files.

The following file is a gpx file. This file is to be loaded directly on to your gps with the POI Loader. When loaded this way, you will be able to locate these way points by going to custom or extra on your menu. Also these have alerts in them. We you come within a 1000 yards of a station, you will be alerted. If your gps has voice, you will hear the alert as well see it.

Please let me know when you encounter one that needs the location updated. Also if you know of one that is missing let me know. I will try to keep this up to date.

or if you get the ethanol, just ride your bike the 300 to 400 miles and burn it up and hope for good gas...if you get bad again...keep riding.... I rode 1200 miles before I found good gasoline

Ride safe....I keep some seafoam handy as well...if my bike sits for a long time...

What a great resource...thanks! I worry all the time that the fuel pump rubber bits in my tank will turn to black goo with the ethanol

I haven't checked the list yet but the one I am closest to is the Wesco on 280 between Childersburg and Sylacauga.

Thats pretty good if you're just riding locally but what about when you're on the open road on a trip? I always carry a bottle of Startron with me and add some to each tankfull. It is an enzyme based product that supposedly negates the effects of ethanol. Prior to the Startron I used Marine formula Stabil. I also run a tankfull with Seafoam about once every oil change cycle. Have been doing this on the RT and on the GS and so far no problems.(Knock). I still do keep an eye out for "pure gas only" when travelling.

Thanks very much for the info. I am new to the area (Maylene) and noticed we are probably close in locations. What is the closest station to us that has Ethanol free?

I found a Web site that showed one at the corner of 31 and 70 but when I rode over there yesterday there was no mention about having ethanol free.

It looks like Bessemer might be the closest but I called them and they don't have it. I'm guessing Clanton is closest. When I rode back from Montgomery of the holiday weekend I stopped somewhere (can't remember where) on Highway 31 and they had it. Maybe worth the trip if I can find it and bring a couple of 5 gallon containers. In a cage of course.
