  • CB Radio Questions

I'm interested in a CB system for my bike. If anyone has a CB, what equipment do you have and how is it installed? I'm looking for good equipment but a low profile installation for my 2012 GSA. If you'll be at the Chicken Rally maybe I can take a closer look at how you've got it set up.

    Chris.

Talk to Terry at Terry's Two Wheel. He keeps in stock the systems that he thinks are the best for motorcycles.

      Chris,
      Way a CB radio?
Amateur Radio or Ham Radio is a FM based system with longer range and lots of other advantages. Yes - you will have to take a test, but no morse code (CW) requirements any more.

Chris..check with Jim K and Russ. They have the J&M systems which run CB and I know they are quite pleased with them. I have only used FRS for bike to bike. As Bob points out, Terry has a great array of FRS equipment and experience with them....

          Chris,

If you go with the J&M set up, I have two headsets and lower chords that I will sell to you and save you a bunch of $$. I paid around $260 for those parts plus the $400ish for the base unit. You will need an antenna as well. It works wonderful and I also recommend it higly.

I decided to go with the Sena setup so I do ot need the J&M parts any longer.
