How to use Picasa to upload photos to forums

Here is the procedure to upload your photos to our website forums:

1. Bring up Picasa program
2. Select your photos
3. Click on Web Album in Picasa & fill in information
a. Create a new album
b. Name your album title
c. Description is optional
d. Place taken is optional
e. Visibility: Click on public
f. Click on OK to upload
4. Upload manager screen
Click view on line
5. At the top of Web album page, you see the link for your photos
a. Copy the link to clip board, then you can paste to your forums and documents
b. Click on my public gallery to view your web albums. You can add captions to your photos at this point.
c. Double click on an album to view individual photos
d. Here, you have several options, one of which is to edit captions.
e. Click edit captions to either change existing captions or type captions on your photo.
f. Click done to enter change

Couldn't get this picture to post from my SM account. Is the link the only way to do this here from that account?

Thanks for the photos.

I was able to open one photo from your smug mug link and the one of Smith Dam. If there were other photos, I could not open them.

Sorry, I do not know the answer to your question. Hopefully someone will chime in and give you an answer.

Picasa is the easiest and best photo on line program I have used. It is user friendly and easy to open and use. Picasa will automatically grap the photos that you saved to your computer and save them to an easily recognizable Picasa folder. If you want to up-load them to their website, that is an easy process too. The photos will be saved in your account with your file name. Just copy the URL link and paste it where you want it.
