Well , it appears that we are getting some folks registered now. This has been in the works for some time and we (everyone that worked on this) that it is coming to life! Thanks James Taylor for all your work and dedication to make the new site a reality!

New users will notice that the "heart and soul" of the new site is the forum itself. Feel free to jump in and look around. Get familiar with the program and start a thread in the category of your choice! This is your club, your site and hopefully a way to interact and share information with ALL members of your club.

Let me or Connie or James or Norwood know if you have any questions, suggestions or comments. We are learning here too!

New Registrations

Guys, those of you who have registered today should now be able to post. Because of the last site and all the bogus registrations, I went with requiring approval before posting. But since we've got that thing where you have to enter the letters presented (that can't be OCR'ed and dumped in a form field), I've turned the require approval off so everyone can start posting immediately if they register properly. If we start havinig problems with bogus approvals, I will turn it back on.

These new forums are pretty cool; subscriptions work (Tim), photo attachments work (Norword), but on the photos, please limit them. If you post your whole trip to Brazil catalogue (Norwood ) in the forums there won't be any space on ther server for posts

Boy I am really impressed with the new site. Thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make it happen i.e., James, Connie, Vance, Don, et.al.

The only thing I am having any trouble with is setting up an avatar. Any suggestions anyone?

I now assume the "subscribtion" feature works. You can access it from "Thread Tools" once your in the thread. If you subscribe you should get any postings to that thread at your regular E Mail address. It has let me subscribe so I'm assuming it works.

I think the new Forums are great. I was searching around other sites to find an AVATAR that was really cool while I was waiting for approval. I went to a site, I think it was called Junkd, or Junked. Anyway, I got 3 virus warnings from my Norton just by clicking on the site. I just wanted to share that with anyone just in case you decide to look around.
