  • What I have been waiting for....SPOT is here

Whether around the state, national or world your family/friends can track you and emergency help can pinpointed to your location....plus some good benefits as well.

I have been watching and getting emails this week from a BETA test of this from a couple of touring folks...

Also would double as locator for your stolen bike as well.

So another gadget for the tank bag.

    Check out the Web site
SPOT sells affordable satellite safety devices, delivering reliable location-based tracking, messaging and lifesaving SOS technology. SPOT products monitor your location, connecting to emergency responders while out of cellular range.

I am BETA testing part of the SPOT and new tracking program this next few weeks...

Here is a link with MY Trips... I did a test run today testing the OK along with a TEST HELP message... worked thus far... therefore family and friends can track me if I wish to be tracked...

You can zoom in and switch views, click on the green and red markers for messages...and really zoom in to find the location....

Would work good with spotting and pinpointing ABEES place as well..

          Puddin,

If you add the Spot and just a few more dubers, you will need the 1200 ADV to hold it all

You are correct again! I was thinking today about dumping some of the redundant systems on board Buster. Hmmmmm maybe that would free up some space.....

Don't take anything off Buster. You may need it someday, and besides, all that stuff looks so good hanging there.

No need to get rid of it, just add those Jessie Panniers and store or mount more stuff on top of the lids...

I am watching couple of friends traveling in Alaska with the "Spot", notice one of them turned South and WEst to coast, found out today one of the riders has rear end problems on an RT... having to ferry it down to Washington to BMW dealer.... the others have continued on North, crossed in the Yukon this afternoon, now on Hwy 1...

                ----
I will end my first test ride this next week, thus far all the messages have came thru, I got a group looki at the route on the WEB, like this group, 10 family or friends get email, 5 family members are receiving text messages and the help team is get both emails and text messages via cell.
